Lisa Surmer, Belgium surf babe, was really ripping the waves in Biscarosse in August ’19. While others were waiting for a wave, she grabbed one, paddled back and took another one. I fell a bit in love with her, seeing her crushing the nature and leaving all the rest speechless behind her. I decided to take a different approach, leave the waves for Lise and to grab my camera instead. It was a pleasure shooting her, such a talented athlete gives you multiple possibilities to shoot the perfect shot. I stood nipple deep in the water, raising my camera everytime a wave passed by. People asked me if I was crazy, “no, just stoked”.
